People of Walmart

You know when you see something so terrible and fascinating you can't pry your eyes away?
I also was informed that you can see an endless montage of PeopleofWalmart on YouTube. So of course I watched at least 30 minutes of said monstrosities.
Honestly, looking at those pics pained my heart for humanity. For AMERICA!
Is that lack of decency contagious? because I have this nagging suspicion that just by looking at those pics if I'm not careful I'll somehow morph into one such horror.

Needless to say,
I went grocery shopping today - at Meijers.

Pink faux suede

Today I found a fierce, pink, faux suede blazer at Goodwill. So soft I just want to stroke it all day. I am so excited to chop it up and make cute things with it!
Someday I shall post a pic showing its rebirth.

Hells tortures on V-day

I think part of why I love winter so much is being stuck indoors - it kicks my creative need into high gear.
On the otherhand, Ive been suffering from MAJOR creative ADD. I really miss having an apartment to myself, all the extra work space. I try to take projects with me whenever I'll be spending time at Keith's but its challenging to coordinate everything, have a portable project, and remember all the supplies. (listen to me whine) I dream of the luxury of having a 'studio'. A nice happy little nook where I can focus and work.

For V-day Keith took me to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. LOVELY. It's not huge, but there is a enjoyable range of pieces. (Plus admission is FREE!) After being at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC over Christmas break there also seemed to be an extraordinary amount of breathing room. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed MoMA but I was able to linger. As. I. Wished.

There was this painting, gloriously detailed, phenomenal painting, of Hells tortures. I think it was called Christ in Limbo but I'm having a really hard time finding it online so I must have the title wrong. Either way, all Indiana dwellers - go see this painting. It is a must. Find the Giovanni Bellini exhibit and you shall find the most gruesome 14 century painting your eyes will ever behold.

Scanwich and a nugget

Found a really fantastic site. LOVE it.
It also makes me feel like an idiot. Why didn't I think of doing this?

Watched Daybreakers earlier. I was sorely disappointed - very flat and stereotypical. The writers needed to delve into the richness of character development. The golden, redeeming nugget: the trailer had an awesome song.

Typographic glee

I think I only have a vague idea of what this says about me as a person, but concerning this matter, I am indifferent to the opinions of others. I want to go to TYPE CAMP!

Would anyone like to help fund a life transforming adventure? You've never seen a more greatful recipient..

Sadness and mourning

I was greatly disappointed by House this week. :(
