While my sister was helping us move she accused me of having hoarder tendencies. I, of course, denied this vehemently.
That is until I found this pencil.
I really struggled to toss this little shard of a pencil.
Is this normal? Anyone? Anyone?

Design Work: Candy Cane Express

designWork TrainTickets

Behold my most resent design side project!
If you were wondering, which I know you were, it's not teensy ticket size. Since it's an invitation, it is a bigger, in-your-face size.
But not too big ;)

project noah

This awesome little bug is a Lichen Katydid.
It makes a normal Walking Stick look kinda lame, yeah?

We love our house.
And our dad. Who lets us raid his garage at all hours and spends his day off helping us fix things.

PS - that dishwasher was hauled to the trash :(
Fortunately, our DOUBLE basin sink feels like a luxurious upgrade to dish washing after using the single basin in our teensy apartment kitchen for years. Sometimes, it's the little things. :)

A green house

So, if you’ve been wondering what’s going on in these parts on the lately, let me tell you... WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! An awesome, 100 year old home to call our own. We feel so incredibly blessed to have this house, but that is a story for another time. Right now you get the quick "hello, house".

Now, I know you’re thinking, “Gee, that’s a mighty big house.”
You are correct.
We are the first to say that it’s hilariously huge for two people BUT we really love it and, contrary to what I tell people who are obnoxious enough to ask about our reproduction, we don’t plan on staying a duo forever. But until babies come about, we shall be busy making this house cozy and perfectly ours.

So, I’m not sure what’s going on in this snap but I’m including it because if you look past our goon-ness, over Keith’s shoulder you will see a window. It has some snazzy beveled glass at the top which everyone comments on. I figured you’d like to see it. It’s one of those original-old-house-charm features that wooed us into buying it.

Here is a peek into the front two rooms, a la moving day.

Do you see those gorgeous (dusty) hardwood floors!? Do you see that mantle!?  Do you see that door frame to nowhere with the bright white outlet in the middle? (Errr what??)
As you can see, we have untold amounts of customizing, beautifying, general de-funkifying and furniture acquisition to do.
We are excited.
